On November 2, the 6th China International Silver Industry Exhibition (SIC Expo) was successfully concluded at PWTC in Guangzhou. The three-day event attracted 300 Chinese and foreign enterprises in the elderly-care industry and about 45,000 professional visitors.
The 6th SIC Expo displayed more abundant products than ever, covering both “hardware” such as care products for rehabilitation, assistive devices, home products for the elderly, real estate for elderly care, etc., and “software” such as elderly-care design and planning, systems, operations and services. The latest achievements for the elderly at home and abroad have been comprehensively reviewed. During the three days, the site was packed with enthusiastic negotiations, and remarkable results have been achieved.
As the largest international event in China's aging industry, SIC Expo has always been the first choice for global elderly-care enterprises to understand the China market and lay out in it. This session was joined by enterprises from Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions, one-third of which were international exhibitors.
Japan delegation expanded its scale this year. At the “China-Japan Forum on Elderly-Care Industry” held concurrently, the international platform of nursing personnel was officially launched to further deepen the cooperation between China and Japan in elderly care.

With the improvement of SIC Expo's influence in the industry and the expansion of contents and activities, this SIC Expo continued to attract people from the elderly-care industry for visits and exchanges. Professional visitors from the civil affairs system, the disabled system, medical rehabilitation institutions, elderly-care institutions, real estate properties, research institutes, social organizations, industry associations and other channels have gathered. The continuous intent negotiation, procurement and contract signing at the scene were gratifying.
On the first day after the opening ceremony, the Civil Affairs Departments of Guangdong, Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang Province jointly signed a framework agreement on sojourn elderly care cooperation, building a platform for the exchange of elderly-care services and expanding the scope of cooperation. Qixinmingzhu, one of the exhibitors, also reached strategic cooperation with many well-known elderly-care product suppliers such as Quality Life, Nca and Unifix.
The 23 professional concurrent forums held were highly evaluated by all parties. Delegates of government agencies such as the National Development and Reform Commission, the Health and Welfare Committee and the Civil Affairs Department, industry experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs gathered their wisdom to discuss hot topics from macro policy interpretation, industry status, analysis of development situation, exploration of international cooperation, to specific levels including elderly consumption, sojourn elderly care, medical elderly care, real estate for elderly care, social work and elderly-care services, rehabilitation and elderly care design, smart elderly care, and elderly rehabilitation, providing direction and guidance for all parties to better carry out elderly care. Multiple exchanges and procurement matching meetings also provided precise assistance to promote more effective exchanges and cooperation.
Although the event has closed, the future is more promising. SIC Expo will stay at the forefront of the industry, integrating upstream and downstream resources to build a more professional, more efficient and broader platform of international exchange and cooperation for the industry.
